Meet Matthew Heskett and Jen Hoyle. They are the education professionals responsible for bringing ARISE to life.
Matthew is the Program Manager of the ARISE Initiative. Initially qualifying as an industrial chemist before making the move in to STEM education, he has over twenty years of experience in the field of science communication. Matthew has a passion for creating authentic student learning experiences.
Jen is the Coordinator of the ARISE Initiative. She has a background in secondary science and mathematics education teaching in schools in Australia and the UK. Jen has been working in the science communication and outreach space for nearly 10 years.
Matthew and Jen are both based in Brisbane but, in their ARISE roles, they are looking forward to visiting schools in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia to show students the opportunities available in the resources sector.
